Violet Fungus

Aggressive fungus with a taste for flesh and lives in damp caverns, these purple plants are nigh impossible to spot until it's too late.

"These fungi lie in caves and ambush passersby with vines covered in a necrotizing poison. They find prey by sensing motion, not by sight, and can be provoked into revealing their location by throwing objects in front of them."

"It was all too familiar to our encounters with the blight, though this was different. Using some fish Scorros had caught earlier and some rope, we were able to safely draw out the tendrils, which were weak, easy to hit, but they should absolutely not be underestimated."

-Scorros Illitor and Breknar Swampshield, respectively, after encountering these for the first time in the Cave of the Headless Orc
