Blights are a dangerous force of nature tainted by evil magics. When they are found it means only awful things for the surrounding land, and as such need to be dealt with handily.
Scorros Illitor, who is no stranger to these creatures after losing a lung to them previously, notes that these are "A wooden, man-shaped being covered in dart-like needles. I say from personal experience that they can launch these needles with enough force to penetrate bone, leather, and even weak points in steel armor, and seem capable of locating and targeting other creatures at a distance even when vision is completely obscured. Instinctual skirmishers, they never willingly enter close combat. The only thing that detracts from their deadliness is that their larger size makes them easier to identify than the smaller twig blight."
