Wizards in the World:
Wizards are seen as the foremost experts on magic. Because they must know how magic works to cast it instead of simply asking for it from a god or being born with it Wizards are generally the only spellcasters who understand it well enough to make new spells and figure out the function of magical items. Their research is highly valued and powerful wizards often make great profits through their libraries of spells and construction of artifacts and automatons. They are usually found in enclaves, councils, and places of power. Lone wizards are also known, usually shut away and left to their studies.
Wizards in Longreach will be challenged by the lack of access to spells. There were no wizards who found the town and thus no recorded spells were brought. You will have to find scrolls in the wild, convince others to find them for you, or pay exorbitant fees to have them shipped from main civilization. However, with the flexibility of the spells they do learn they will surely be in high demand on the frontier.
Abjurer
Level 6- Projected Ward
In 2 separate combats prevent 2 allies from taking enough damage to go down through your abjurations
Level 10- Improved Abjuration
Render an enemy spellcaster useless by counterspelling them three times in a row
Level 14- Spell Resistance
Seal away a great evil (Or good I suppose)
Conjurer
Level 6- Benign Transposition
You must discover and perform a secret rite that summons an extraplanar creature to teach you this.
Level 10- Focused Conjuration
Use a Teleportation Circle to get out of a deadly situation.
Level 14- Durable Summons
Perform a Great Summoning
Diviner
Level 6- Expert Divination
Make a successful public prediction for a reasonably important event at least a week in advance.
Level 10- The Third Eye
Slay a powerful creature or make it through a treacherous scenario while blindfolded and deafened.
Level 14- Greater Portent
Make a successful prediction about a major event
Enchantment
Level 6- Instinctive Charm
Charm someone normally hostile towards you into doing you a large favor.
Level 10- Split Enchantment
Make it through a difficult battle you are actively participating in without being attacked
Level 14- Alter Memories
Charm a person of great influence into granting you a large boon.
Evocation
Level 6- Potent Cantrip
In one combat, kill 3 creatures with cantrips.
Level 10- Empowered Evocation
Hit 10 enemies with a single spell.
Level 14- Overchannel
Deal 200 damage in a round
Illusion
Level 6- Malleable Illusions
Defeat 2 foes with illusions only
Level 10- Illusory Self
Escape a dangerous situation with illusions
Level 14- Illusory Reality
Use illusions to make a very favorable deal.
Necromancy
Level 6- Undead Thralls
Learn the process from the tomb of a great necromancer
Level 10- Inured to Undeath
Raise a powerful figure from history to do your bidding
Level 14- Command Undead
Visit the afterlife to unlock a secret
Transmutation
Level 6- Transmuter’s stone
Discover the Transmuter’s stone of a powerful wizard
Level 10- Shapechanger
Significantly aid in completing a large public project with transmutation
Level 14- Master Transmuter
Find the Philosopher’s Stone.
